This place has a way better selection of wood and hardware than you'd expect from a small town store. The pricing for a lot of things is very competitive and often times cheaper than big box stores while also being a better quality, especially plywood. Doris is very helpful and it's always nice to have a friendly place to pick up what i need.
Great selection of every wood imaginable. Doris is a wealth of knowledge from woods to tools.
My daughter needed some cherry plywood for a printmaking project at SIU-E. I called Kunz late on a Saturday morning (around 11:40 am) and Doris told me that they had some in stock. The store was set to close at noon and I was 20 minutes away. Adding to my dilema, I had no way to fit a full 4x8' sheet in my Jeep Cherokee.
