My four year old is very much a hands on learner and was struggling with number recognition. He could count and understand number in real world scenarios like he has 3 gummies and I only have two I get one more. But it didn't translate to pencil and paper. He also had trouble recognizing numbers although he knew letters. I took him to Kumon and I was doubtful when Ms. Iesha pulled out stacks of packets. Because he is very hand on and so active. We started in September and now he is counting and recognizing numbers up to 30!

Ms. Cater and her staff have been extremely helpful, flexible and supportive of our children's education, pivoting quickly with constant Pandemic related changes over the last 2 years to ensure our kids continued to get academic support at their level that the schools had trouble providing during that time. I enrolled my 11 year old. After his first session, his handwriting greatly improved. I had him rewrite a sentence that he had written for his schoolwork and I was just about to remind him of his handwriting errors when suddenly he brought over his notebook with it written beautifully, saying "I learned at Kumon to write like this." I was speechless. I thought I'd nagged him enough about his handwriting. For years! Somehow they were able to accomplish in half an hour what I didn't accomplish in all this time. Wow.
