My daughter attended Kumon Reading in Kindergarten and 1st grade. Her reading and writing dramatically improved as she progressed through classes and it empowered her to become an independent reader. She got a reward at school for making such progress. Ms. Helen was incredibly helpful and provided us with frequent and actionable feedback on how we could support my daughter. Daily practice, even when short, was key.
We love Kumon! Its helped my daughter read much better!
Our son attended Kumon in grade 2 and 3 for both math and reading. We had such a positive experience at the center. Ms Helen is amazing and took personal interest, helped identify and point out his limitations and helped him improve dramatically. She would talk to us at the end of every class, discuss how he did, would teach him concepts in the class and encourage him to practice those concepts in homework assignments. Beyond math/reading education, the method works and provides confidence to the kids to level up their skills. My daughter started after the pandemic, struggling with very basic instruction levels and was able to revert the scenario and to catch up to her grade in less than 18 months. I definitely recommend it!
