We have had a great experience with Kumon. My son is 6 and it took a little while for the daily worksheets to become part of his routine, but once they did the progress really showed. He picks up new math concepts much faster now and his addition, subtraction and reading are all ahead of his school level. My 5- and 9-year-old children started Kumon about eight months ago, and I have seen a tremendous improvement in both of them. Completing their Kumon work has simply become part of their daily routine. My 5-year-old is now beginning to read independently and can count well beyond 100. My 9-year-old has also made significant progress in both math and reading. One of the things I appreciate most about the Kumon program is its self-learning approach, which encourages independence, builds confidence, and teaches discipline.
