We signed a couple of our kids up for Koolminds’ reading group because their reading was far below their age level, and they hated reading. We decided to add extra support, and I honestly cannot believe the difference it has made. For the first time ever, my kids are excited to learn. Kool Minds has been such a blessing to my son. He is currently enrolled there and I'm very happy with the progress he's making. He is neurodivergent and this is a school that meets him where he is. He loves his teacher, and all of the staff working with him. He has made improvements in reading, math, and social interactions. He never complains about going to school and loves telling me about what he does every day. Highly recommend KoolMinds! We started a tutoring program for one of my kids to improve his reading skills and he has absolutely loved it! We have loved working with both the tutor, John, and the assistant director, Jonia. It’s only been a few weeks and I’ve noticed my child is more confident reading. He is also so happy and motivated after each of his lessons!
In 2nd grade my daughter was reading below grade level. She qualified for an IEP and was put into walk to read to help. Fast forward to 3/4 of the way thru 4th grade same issues no progress just falling farther behind! We tested for the U of U Summer reading program and she was flagged for dyslexia! There wait list was 3 years! I contacted Kool Minds and had her tested for services, they recommended cognitive therapy and the Barton Reading Program!
