I had to find a new accounting service after our previous longtime accountant got out of the business of doing business returns. Frank came highly recommended by friends using his services. Frank and staff knocked it out of the park! Personal and business returns were done several days before April 15. He also made time to talk me through tax saving opportunities I was missing. In addition, I set up payroll services with them for a new business I had just purchased, and it has been seamless. 10 out of 10. Highly recommend.
We’re still uncovering mistakes Komar should have handled long ago—errors that have now cost us time and money to clean up with another firm. These weren’t complex issues, just basic payroll tasks that were missed or mishandled. What’s most frustrating is the lack of ownership. The response was defensive and dismissive instead of helpful. We expected accountability, and got excuses
We hired Komar for payroll services, and it ended up costing us—literally. While their accounting skills may be solid, their payroll service was unreliable and led to unexpected expenses. What made it worse was the complete denial of any failure on their part. Had the owner taken responsibility, it might have made a difference. But he didn’t. Our new provider onboarded two other former Komar clients at the same time—apparently, we weren’t alone.
