Klarna extends credit with zero consumer protections. BUYER BEWARE DO NOT USE! I’m currently disputing a faulty purchase with my credit union because Klarna does nothing. They offer zero consumer advocacy or buyer protections. This company needs to be shut down.
Horrible customer service. Purchased an item via Klarna. The item was a treadmill. The treadmill had issues, real safety issues that you received a shock each time you used the item. I reached out to the manufacturer and they advised me to STOP utilizng the treadmill immediately. I took ALL correspondence and sent this to Klarna in July. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I have learned the hard way. Klarna is a fraudulent company and my best advice is do not use them or give them any access to your bank or card, whatsoever. If I could give them zero stars, I would. In March, I paid off a $301 balance early. I ended up returning most of the items to the merchant, however the merchant stated I was still responsible to pay Klarna, so that is when I paid the balance off early, and was supposed to receive a Klarna credit, which was fine at the time. Extremely disappointed with Klarna’s handling of a simple dispute. I paid for a service that was never provided, submitted evidence, and explained that the merchant was unreachable with no staff, no website, and no email available. Instead of actually reviewing the situation, Klarna closed the investigation and basically told me to deal with the merchant myself.
