I am back to edit this as my previous message I said I would return. Initially I rated this location a 2 because of a lack of communication and miscommunications. My mother struggles with mental illness and recent received a diagnosis of dementia on top of it. A lifetime of not taking care of herself and letting decisions be guided by delusions has led to a plethora of things wrong with her physical health. My mom was only at Kittanning health and rehab for a short time. But I must say, she got treated very well. The staff was friendly and answered any questions we had. They did blood work on her and found her blood count was low and sent her the the ER. She got transferred to a Pittsburgh hospital where she unfortunately passed away. When I called about getting my mom's belongings, they were very helpful and helped carry her things to our car. I was very satisfied with our experience here!

My dad has been here for a few weeks. Some nurses are great and some shouldn't be working in nursing. Some have horrible attitude towards family members and residents. Why does it take 3 weeks of asking for a family does laundry sign to be put in a door? Then get attitude for asking about it. So clothes don't go missing? Why do they shut off the alarms for residents and why are residents sitting in their own mess for hours before changing a resident?
