My brother had Parkinson's and other issues related to this disease. Over the past 3 or 4 years he has been in several facilities for care that have included hospitals, rehab, nursing home, memory care as well as assisted living. During those times I have never encountered worse care than the care he received at Kingston! He was essentially neglected! I walked in and found him barely responsive or breathing!! My family member is currently a client at Kingston. In the brief time he’s been in their secured care, he missed a biopsy appointment because a team member disregarded the “no breakfast” orders. He was misdiagnosed with a non-curable STD, has not been given his daily antibiotic which is essential and required every day for life. While we still do not have the results of the investigations for these failures, they choose to prioritize pressing for financial commitments.
Extremely bad care of a loved one in the past. Thinking since time went by that maybe things have changed. I presently have a friend in the rehabilitation section and although this person says they love all the nurses I had to speak up. On two separate occasions in a week and a half time while visiting I witnessed negligence from the same nurse. No gloves were worn throughout the whole procedures, no hands were washed, injection and medications were held and used improperly with contaminated hands. Things were dropped on the... read more
