Killeen ISD is the worst school district in Central Texas. I'm in the process of removing my children from this school district, we will no longer be zoned for this school district after this school year (2024-2025). They have zero communication skills and try to sweep issues under the rug. Example: my 4th grader at Killeen Elementary School got cut by another student, drawing blood, and I was never notified. Harker heights high school haves bad communicating with patients and returning phone calls and teachers pick on kids and they don’t do anything about and I don’t get that they want kids to go to school and stuff but they don’t do there job
I have never been so disappointed in Harker Heights elementary. The dismissal of the kids, where their being dismissed at and the times of dismissal. The older kids get out of school before the younger kids get out. The first graders get out of school last. It can be anywhere from 3:35 to whatever time they bring them out. Just never seen anything like this before. Their is no talking to anyone about the situation. Because, they don't see anything wrong with the way this year is being ran.
