As my emails went unanswered by corporate, I have no choice but to post here, and will post on Google and Yelp. During my employment at Keystone Place at Wooster Heights in Danbury since July. These concerns include harassment, discrimination, a hostile work environment, and multiple potential policy violations. EDIT #2: After a period of great difficulty and serious concerns due to some very poor management choices, I’m glad to say that Keystone has improved in substantial ways by bringing back a seasoned and experienced Director. He has heard the issues presented by residents, families and staff and is following up on these concerns by making some important changes. I was told by a number of aides that they were “asked” to write positive reviews, especially after a negative one was posted. They were afraid that if they didn’t they would be punished in some way. It looks like someone has recently had those coerced reviews removed though. Look at the others, it’s mostly from years ago, when things seemed to be significantly better than they are now. I can echo others’ concerns about treatment of staff. While there were many, many excellent CNAs, they were treated so poorly by middle and senior management during the time my loved one lived there. Consequently, the turn over rate of staff was disruptive and the facility relied heavily on agency nurses and CNAs (basically substitutes). We even went through three managers of memory care and two directors of nursing during our nine month residency. That level of turnover illustrates poor, toxic management at senior levels.
