I have been using keybank for 10+ yrs. last week I deposited, in person, a multi thousand dollar check. After depositing the check, I was told that it would be held for over a week. I was not given a decent answer of why. I’ve then received an email multiple days later, stating that it was because there was a “reasonable doubt of collectibility”. oddly, this check came from my employer, who has been depositing money into the same account for over 7 years.
