I opened my business account with Key in 2003 and when I found them to be totally uncooperative with a commercial mortgage in 2004 I left. Unfortunately, they purchased First Niagara and in 2017 I once again found myself with Key. All was not smooth with the transfer from First Niagara and Key but for the sake of convenience I stayed. Rude people. They charge a fee for everything. The worst.
I would never open an account here after I went in last week and dealt with a rude teller that should NOT hold a position that demands excellent customer service. Hers was not even mediocre at best & word of mouth means keeping people like that on payroll will most definitely be hurting your business. Here's one person who will be banking elsewhere!
After I was forced to use Key Bank I closed out my account and transferred to another bank closer to my town. The closest Key Bank was 45 minutes away. I was called by Megan to tell me that a transaction was completed on my closed account. She told me the amount. Ok, fine. I make time to go pay that amount, and it had gone up! Instead of $40, it was now $70! I'm glad I switched banks. Key Bank has extremely poor customer service!
Having had a change of banks forced upon us due to our former bank being bought out by KeyBank, and the old branch being closed, I was happy to see the helpful smiles of the service reps that were at the old branch now here at the new branch. There was some glitches with the web banking, but since this review is about the local branch I'll hold on that.
