Do NOT bank here. They stole over $300 from us. We had fraudulent charges on our account and when we reported the charges, they reversed a couple of them and then refused to reverse the remainder of the charges that all came from the same place on the same day. They gave us the run around, had to file claims twice for the same issue. And no one has been able to resolve the issue. Horrible customer service Matthew the manager needs massive customer service classes. I was convinced to sign up because my work goes through here, and I'd get all these benefits. they proceeded to lie about no overdrafts. after calling and getting it removed they hit me with an atm fee, four weeks after last atm use. since my account was empty on the very correct assumption I was leaving, it caused more overdrafts. also this holding period is ridiculous. Would rate negative stars if possible
After reading the reviews, you would think I would have second thoughts about banking at KeyBank, not the case. Every time I’ve gone into KeyBank, I’ve only seen excellent customer service and experience it myself. Management and staff has changed over the past few years and it’s only improving. I’m acknowledged if there’s a wait or instantly helped. I’m a semi difficult customer and they always satisfy my needs. I highly recommend KeyBank!
My overall experience at key bank has been mediocre at best. But I will say their holding policies are absolutely terrible! On more than one occasion I have deposited money into my account, and because of their policies my family gets screwed over! Were a poor single income family, and their policies have perpetually screwed my family over. I will be switching banks as soon as possible, and do not recommend this bank to ANYBODY! Especially if you are under financial constraints!
