My grandma resides at Kewarra Aged Care. The staff are amazing, very caring. They also have a fantastic variety of activities for the residents. The feel for KAC is very family oriented, what really caught my eye was the facility manager getting involved in activities with the residents. I would highly recommend Kewarra Aged Care.
What a fabulous facility this is. My parents both reside there and the family feel is in every activity and every interaction with every staff member. The regular events that are organised have had every aspect executed perfectly providing residents with lots of fun and laughter. We are very happy with the resort feel of the facility and the caring nature that all residents are treated with. Highly recommended.
The immediate care staff are wonderful people, and the rooms are fairly priced. However the Facility Manager in 2024 does not know her business and becomes very nasty when questioned. Do not place your loved ones under her power. There are other reputable aged care facilities around Cairns. Use the government rating website, visit potential facilities, ask for a copy of the proposed agreement in advance, ask questions if anything seems unclear or amiss, and cross off your short-list any facility with an unhelpful and/or nast... read more
