The smallest - probably the first - of the FIVE Kewadin Casinos in the Upper Penninsula, the Hessel location is kind of remote, though within range of St. Ignace and Sault Ste. Marie. With only 120 slot machines, and the need to use actual coins to play, it is small, intimate, with limited hours, and inconvenient due to coin use, but what a HOOT. We had a ball. A lot of locals frequent the place, but it was a lot of fun. Recommended for a visit!
Talk about a nice place! Kewadin Casino in St. Ignace is the perfect size! There is a great variety of slot machines - we don't play table games - and we had a lot of fun! The next time, we plan on exploring staying in the lodging facilities there and trying the food service. We WILL be back and look forward to our next visit!
