I watched a resident be allowed to fall over and over and the only thing management would do about it was “remind to use call light.” The resident has dementia. He literally cannot remember to push the button. I refused to be complacent in this. Also, management talked the nurse practitioner to discontinue a residents memory medication cause they were “declining.” But they worsened so much faster without it, which is why the memory med was originally prescribed.
