I left my hearing deeply concerned about the impartiality of the proceedings. The judge allowed multiple courtroom rules to be violated by the opposing party without correction, and engaged in what appeared to be a familiar, joking rapport with them throughout. At one point, a woman accompanying the opposing party addressed the judge as ‘sweetheart’ — and the judge proceeded to rule in their favor.
