Stumbled on this gem - a trip I will never forget. I had a tasty breakfast on the patio and chatted with some hikers. I was blessed to be able to pet some very well-behaved dogs while I ate. I wandered through the store and chatted with the woman behind the counter while I bought some things I didn't need along side the things I did need.
Cool little store good for anything you might have forgotten for hiking or camping. Very friendly people.
1st timer. Visitor, supporting PCT hikers. An oasis for PCT hikers when they finish the first section - 703 miles of desert. The clap in from the deck, welcoming the hikers from the road gives goosebumps. The camaraderie between hikers and visitors over an AMAZING breakfast (all you can eat pancakes) and/or dinner (the hamburger and chicken sandwich are so good) creates friendships across a group of people coming from all over the world. This little convince store primary caters to PCT hikers and campers in the area. The prices are kind of wild but it's at least a 40 min drive down a LONG and windy road for another option. I wish they had a few more food options like peanut butter, but what you going to do. The small cafe on the side porch was also a great treat.
