Great park. Would love to stay at the lodge soon.
I went to Hemitite Lake, I went to the website which showed it was a fairly easy trail. It ended up being longer than what I expected, I believe it said 1.4 miles. Thought they might have some benches along the way but didn't! It ended up being over 2 miles from what other visitors told me and the last trek was awful, very unstable ground, you had to walk across rolling logs, and mucky mud. Nice place. We was only there one night. Would stay again
We had an awesome time, and loved our cottages. The lady at the front desk was the sweetest, and worked with me to get me in the cottage beside my parents and grandmother. Everyone was very hospitable. The only complaint was that maybe the ceilings should be vacuumed a little more often, there were quite a lot of spiderwebs in the corners. But other than that little thing, everything was great!
Had my parents 50th anniversary dinner here a couple of years ago and it was good then. Ordered take out last night and was delish. Huge taco salads and the catfish sandwich that my dad quite enjoyed and he usually complains about everything. Beautiful grounds, great marina and wonderful food. You can also enjoy an adult beverage with your meals now, what's not to love!
love this place, the desk clerk went out of her way to meet our needs, rooms were clean, atmosphere is warm and cozy. Love the lake view, play ground , tennis courts , pool, and walk ways . Particularly like the peaceful feel of this place.
