Kearny Bank drops interest rate for 7th time since April 12 on it's money market account. Hey this sould be some milestone for you guys since the fed only lowered interest rates 3 times. Since that date the interest rate was 4.07% it has been lowered 7 times and it now stands at 2.96% from 3.10%. It was just lowered on Feb 12 to 3.10% from 3.39%. I really don't see a need to answer from the bank side since it would only be difficult times calls for difficult choices. It is really too bad that you could not keep it above 3%. ... read more
Customer service severely lacking. I have called a few times about the same question on my mortgage and have been instructed to call back on X date each time. Every phone call (with the same associate, Janice) has yielded a different answer. She continues to miscalculate and give a different number each time. It seems imperative that someone providing customer service in the Loan Servicing department should be able to do basic arithmetic.
