Not the small town bank it used to be.
After dealing with larger banks with user friendly websites - I'll admit that Kearny Bank is a mom and pops bank and are really old school in a lot of ways. Bill pay takes 7 days no matter what. But the main reason I'm giving Millington a 5 star is because of their customer service. They are professionals who took the time to explain to me what they can and cannot do. I was executor of my late aunt’s estate and had great difficulty getting her funds distributed, despite submitting all necessary paperwork. One shouldn’t have to “remind” the bank or re-submit previously submitted documents.
I’ve been a customer of the Millington Bank for over 40 years and have had virtually no problems. Now that it is Kearny Bank, I’ve had multiple problems. Most of the issues regard the online banking - the system is down when needed, transferring funds from one account to another takes days, etc. Time to switch banks?
