My friends and I had an incredible time painting at the KCP Art Studio. We chose to go with the Freestyle painting for 2 hours. Karen was attentive and provided guidance the entire time. The setting was more intimate and allowed us to have great conversations whilst also learning in detail about the art & skill of painting. I have been here twice now, once with my Mom and once with my two kids (10 and 11). My son is not really into making art and only came because he wanted to come to spend the time with me, but he had a ton of fun and says he would definitely do it again! She has a variety of art and styles to interest anyone and a soft spoken informative way of teaching that made my kids get to working quickly (a big ask) and confidantly. It is a beautiful space and a fun time. We will definately be back!
We spent a Saturday afternoon at the studio, it was a fun experience.. Karen was warm, welcoming and provided wonderful guidance, interesting tips and tricks for our paintings. We were given acrylic paints, helped with brushes to use and taught techniques to use them. I was given full creative liberty and she guided the process beautifully! Can't wait to visit again!
Karen is a talented artist, patient teacher, a very supportive mentor, and a wonderful person. She helped my daughter big time with her high school application portfolio, helped improve her technique, taught a lot, and both my kids really enjoy the classes overall. We've been Karen's students for 2 years now.
The first time I went to this studio, I was welcomed with a smile and felt instantly comfortable. Not only can Karen make you feel right at home, but she can teach you a little something along the way. The atmosphere is relaxing and you don't need to be good at painting to create something beautiful! Karen teaches in a manner that allows you to follow along and learn some great art techniques. I will be back for more and more! (PS: The acrylic pours are just amazing. Cannot get enough!)
