As far as kava bars go, this one is smaller than some but the atmosphere is very welcoming. I love that there isn’t LOUD club music playing and the vibe is chill. Joseph was very cool and helpful, so five stars for that. Three stars on the “food” only because I didn’t get the effect I was expecting to get from the drink. I bought the “pink lemonade black top” bottle of kradum tea which is - I was told - same as a large tea. Drank it over about 30 minutes total and had near zero effect. First time at a Kava bar and David explained it all, gave us great info, made some suggestions and let us have a small sample. He was spot on with the taste but a couple pumps of syrup and it was pretty good. Will definitely return!

My favorite place! My bf and I come here multiple times per week and even on some holidays just because there’s always a good reason to come to Sutra. Our kavatenders have become our friends and we’ve made many friendships with other regulars. The vibes are top notch, the crowd is great, the game nights are fun and the drinks are consistently good. Cheers to Becca, Alannah, the Mikes, Billy, Dom, Amber and the rest of the team. You guys work your asses off and make this place the next best spot to home!
