stuart was kind and personable until i signed a retainer, then became difficult to reach and unforthcoming over the phone. told me before signing a retainer that we would be able to use the same retainer to apply to a different apartment if the seller of this one backed out, then once that happened informed me that he would need me to sign another $3000 to continue working with him. other lawyers do not do this and either keep working with you until you close or charge a small fee. moreover, when i asked him to look over the... read more

I cant say enough good things about our experience with Stuart Serota, with closing the purchase, and sale of our first apartment in NYC. He was on top of every single detail, and really eased the stress on a first time buyer. Very professional, very knowledgeable and easy to work with. We even used him again for buying our house. I would highly recommend using Stuart, he is as good as they come.
