I tried to buy a handful of keychains that were sitting in a plastic bucket buried under junk that nobody wanted. I get to the front and the lady in charge decides they’re 3 dollars each because they’re vintage looking. No mam. You got free keychains donated to you & want to upcharge for them. You’re A CHRISTIAN BUSINESS, trying to sell items at affordable prices for the greater good, or did you forget? They completely upcharge everything. The prices are so random & make no sense. I really love this store! They have great prices, do a lot to support the community, and are run by volunteers. I recently dropped off some items that weren’t very clean, so I took them back, cleaned them up, and re-donated them because it felt like the right thing to do. The guy at the back door thanked me, saying they don’t have much help for that kind of thing. Honestly, their prices are way better than Goodwill, and I appreciate that they’re truly focused on helping people rather than just making a profit.
This has so beyond missed the mark on what resale stores are about. Faded, pilled, and dingy tshirts are sold for $6. Meanwhile, their “boutique” section is busting at the seams with fast fashion brands… I found A New Day (Target), Forever21, SHEIN, Xhiliration (Target), Lauren Conrad (Kohl’s) and countless other fast fashion affordable brands in this section selling for $15+.
