It has a bit of everything. Not a huge selection, but very good quality and it's fresh. All usual packaged foods - nori, udon, miso, spices and seasonings. Also tea or sake services, chopsticks, incense, cosmetics, kimonos.. even videos in the back. It's a good place to know.
The only place to go... – This literally is the only place to go if you're looking for a Japanese supermarket around this area. The quality of their items is superb. The price, however, can be a bit steep for some things when compared to Japanese supermarkets in other areas like St. Mark's. They do offer decently priced bento box meals which makes them quite busy during lunch hours.
Editorial Review by Citysearch Editors – Japanese market sells seafood, noodles, vegetables, seasoning and more; also chopsticks, bento boxes and knives. Delivery available.
Little-known gem – Small, yet surprisingly well-stocked Japanese market in midtown. They have everything from Ultraman candies to thin-cut beef for making shabu shabu - and the fresh fish for sushi, although a bit expensive, is consistently great. They also have great prices on Japanese beers. I couldn't cook without them. A favorite of mine for 4+ years.
