My mum recently moved in here. She is only 72 and has all her faculties, so she was rightly not keen to move into aged care, but her mobility issues needed her to. She is already so much happier and healthier in such a short time. We were able to recreate her apartment in her room, which has helped with feeling like she has maintained her identity. The Wellness Centre has an unfortunate choice of receptionist called Sharon who appears to believe any level of unhelpfulness is acceptable if accompanied by a fake smile . After several months of what felt like bullying by this person, I sent a letter of concern to the management regarding her behaviour. As a consequence her attitude calcified and worsened .
