Kalapana Tropicals Inc. is a certified Hawaiian orchid nursery located on the Big Island of Hawaii since 1987. We are orchid horticulturists who specialize in growing a huge array of orchid genus and varieties for export as live, blooming orchid plants. Please Note: Except for wholesale appointments and special events, our working farm is not open to the public for retail visits or tours. Please call in advance. No drop in visits please.

I always receive beautiful healthy orchids from Kalapana Tropicals. They have excellent customer service and are always reliable. The care they take packing the orchids helps them survive the rough handling during shipping. I cannot praise them enough and recommend them to everyone I meet interested in acquiring orchids.

The New Mexico Orchid Guild was in need of orchids for our Holiday party and on short notice. Aim sent us a great selection of healthy plants all in bud/bloom. Winter packed and securely wrapped. From now on Kalapana will be our go to supplier for shows and fundraisers.

Absolutely love my new orchids from Kalapana Tropicals! Very healthy, vibrant blooms, and a really awesome selection. Love talking story with Kev and Norma at the Hilo orchid show (highly recommended if you’re ever in town during). You can tell they really love what they do. All around a really great family-run business.
