Very friendly staff and a fun experience. We're visiting from out of town and we were given a sample and a little explanation of their different offerings and what to expect. They varied a lot between the elixirs and each flavor might not be your favorite, but at least it's unique and a little adventurous. Next time we make it to Santa Fe, we will definitely stop by Kakawa again to try something new.
We were really excited to try this famous New Mexican hot chocolate but walked away disappointed. We love a good Mexican hot chocolate and were all excited for something warm after walking around on this cold day. We were there in the last few days of Dec 2025 in the afternoon. Oooh! Let's talk about chocolate! This is a dream for a chocolate lover like myself. The flights were a fun way to dip in to the elixir world. The brownie was to die for! I will definitely be back when I return to Santa Fe.
we got the chocolate flight and we could not believe how disgusting it was. It should be impossible to mess up hot chocolate -- one of the most delicious things in the world -- but they managed it. Are all the good reviews for the truffles!?
