I am not local to the area nor am I an experienced cyclist. I stumbled upon Juneau Bike Doctor online while looking for trails while visiting the area. This shop is more community driven than tourist driven. People working here are approachable and knowledgeable without the BS. Their assistance was so crucial to our incredible journey. Come by the little blue building off Old Dairy Road as you are- Wade and Ken are good helpful people who will take care of you.
I took my bike into the Bike Doctor for a tuneup and to have a new rear cassette put on for my upcoming epic bike trip from sea level to the top of Mt. Haleakalā in Maui. I was concerned about the lack of gearing I currently had, and Ken was really helpful in reaching out to the manufacturer (Giant) on what would work or not work. Putting the new cassette on definitely gave me more gears to make that monster climb🤩!! Thanks for all your help, Ken!
Purchased a bike here a few months ago. They helped tune and add some accessories. Bike and the service have been great. I ride my bike all over town.
