I saw Dr Edelman for about a year. I ran out of a prescription that is regularly used for atrophy and called her office for an appointment. I also asked if she could renew the prescription now, as I ran out and would schedule an appointment for an annual exam. She said no. I scheduled an appt for today but caught Covid and couldn’t make appt. I would have liked to have been a patient but unfortunately because of my insurance I was denied an appointment. I checked with my insurance to make sure this Dr was a participating provider which they confirmed she was. I called to get set up and asked the receptionist if they were accepting new patients. Her answer was "What's your insurance"? I told her and she immediately said "no we are not". I was quite disappointed. Because I don't have a top of the line insurance I was denied an appointment. I recently had an endoscopic procedure done by Dr. Julia Edelman. She was extremely gentle, knowledgeable and made me feel absolutely comfortable with no pain at all due to her precautionary measures of medications to ensure that I would have no discomfort. Doing a procedure like this can be worrisome because you don’t know what to expect.
