My experience of the Jubilee Sport and Recreation Centre is the same as the Mayflower gym. The gym equipment to my satisfaction, staff friendly and helpful providing assistance as needed, shower rooms as well as gym clean and enjoyable to use.
I LOVE the Jubilee Sport Center! Its one of the reasons that want to stay in SOTON forever!! The coaches are very friendly and professional and they are working very hard trying to build up a great and clean environment for all. 100% recommended!
University gym seems to be cheaping out on air conditioning. Has been hot in the gym since April 2025, not just a recent thing during heat waves. The heat affects my running performance and ability to sustain usual distances. Hopefully management reads this review and acts soon. I will then update this review.
The staff are really friendly and helpful. The pool is lovely.
As a community member I have access to a clean and well equipped gym, studios with a wide range of classes and a swimming pool. The staff are friendly, helpful and always on hand. Jubilee Sport is highly recommended.
