I had gastric sleeve surgery done on Monday November 10th, 2025. Dr. Augusta with journey lite was my surgeon. I haven't had any problems with holding down any liquid or pureed food. My 5 small surgical incisions have healed up. Everyone on the surgical team were professional and I only had to spend one night in the hospital. I had surgery on November 12, 2025. The surgery was done in a wonderful outpatient facility, and I was given amazing care. I had my post op appointments set before I left the hospital and I have been getting check-ins with the dietitian and the NP. If I have any questions or concerns they are always there to answer them. I am very proud with my choice of who and where I had my surgery done.
Hands down would recommend to anyone! Within the 6 month insurance wait I was able to lose 133 lbs with the help from Journeylite. I am two weeks post op from gastric bypass and I feel great! I was very prepared for surgery and felt like I always had Dr Augusta and the team in my corner! I can’t wait to continue this journey!
Dr. Augusta was very kind and had a great bedside manner. I’m about 2 1/5 weeks post op (gastric sleeve) and have not had any complications. All of the team at JourneyLite has been phenomenal!
