UPDATE: On 11-06-2025, I was finally locked out of an area “inside my apartment” by management and am being denied my right to adequately clean that area which I believe could pose a fire hazard. Additionally, I was told not to keep my tea kettle on my stove as it also poses a fire risk. When determining where you would like to reside, my advice is choose wisely. Love this place! Always friendly faces and working with Amanda, Robert and Rocky has been an absolute pleasure! Clearly they take pride in making everyone comfortable and welcomed!!
I was # 5 that moved into journet place , I am not blaming the management That is here now. They are very good. I know if they had the power to change things they would. But It is the highest management in Royal american. That doesn't care about their residents. We are overrun with bugs, They keep massie pest control That does squirt Squirt and they are done. Royal American is driving tenants away. Reasons why: exorbitant rent increases that seniors cannot afford, building infested with cockroaches, poorly maintained because porter does not do his job, and now they are going to start charging monthly rent for pets. I'm glad my friend is taking her dog and leaving.
So many tenants hurting by this recent rent increase. Cannot afford it on fixed income when the increase it taking all their social security check.
