Ms. Joseph is one of the very best family law mediators in Houston. I have seen her successfully mediate cases that our firm never thought had a snowball’s chance of settling. She understands family law and Houston-area juries better than anybody and will always give you her honest and unbiased opinion. She is sharp as a tack and takes a realistic, no-nonsense approach to mediation. If birdeye had a 10 star rating system I would give her 10 stars.

I have worked with Jane Joseph for many, many years. She is fair, unbiased and my favorite family law mediator to work with. I love the Elvis Presley theme at her office, and despite a previous negative review she is always very well dressed. On that note, this same previous review made reference to "my lawyer's assistant shared a snide comment she made....". I am the lawyer she is referring to and this alleged incident never happened, but for obvious reasons I cannot go into any further detail.

Her office is old, unprofessional, unorganized and unkempt just as she is - right down to the open toed shoes she wore in December that were so ratty the leather was peeling off the toes. My lawyers assistant shared a snide comment she made causing me to realize the legal system should better regulate mediators. What are mediators? Who regulates them? Jane Joseph is a very unprofessional mediator. She made it known she knew my ex-husband’s lawyer, and did not want to listen to my lawyer or me. She tried pushing me into an agreement that was very one-sided in favor of my ex. Don’t waste your time or money with her.

How interesting to see eight 5-star reviews and only 2 that sadly tell the truth about this "bull in a china shop" unprofessional mediator. Makes one wonder if those eight on are Janes payroll.Ive been an attorney for over 20 years and I had heard widely varying opinions about this womans abrasive, abrupt style. Didnt enjoy her attitude from the very beginning. She formulated an opinion and became one sided before we ever sat down. She overtalked me throughout the painfully long 3-hour ordeal. At one point we wondered if she was getting a kickback from my ex-husband. We used her for a child custody mediation and would definitely NOT recommend her unless you want to give away your parental rights to your ex.

Ms Joseph just mediated my divorce and child custody case with a straight to the point method that i can truly appreciate. She let both parties know legally what to expect outside of the mediation process and she evaluated both sides determining where the most advantageous middle ground would be. She is a fantastic judge of character and knows how to communicate with just about anyone. She is accredit to this area and her profession.
