Very unprofessional. I think they have a turbo tax app they use. The thought of trying to minimize your taxes scares them to death. Just pay your taxes and be quiet. When you question why they don’t legally try to reduce your taxes they wait until the next year and then say they don’t want you as a client. I think their motto is to always pay more taxes than needed so they will never have an audit.
We were very satisfied with J&C for 4 years, then our CPA left. Last year we had the same experience as Kate did, no response to calls and emails and it took them several weeks to do our taxes when the prior years they were filed within 3 to 5 days.
