Very friendly staff, and a very cool general store. Reminds me of when I was a kid going to stores with my Pawpaw. I will be going back.
General store, the only General shopping store in Waskom since the 1800's. Populated mostly by the ' slavery depot brought in on the train. Still standing, my beloved ancestors walked miles this location on the red clay dirt road to purchase food, clothing, it was where post office accepted mail and it was not delivered to their cabin, General delivery this building has the section and the cage along with the actual mail slots. Awesome experience. Great Wisconsin cheese. Many many antiques. The employees were very welcoming.
It is one of the best old general stores I have ever seen.
