I've used Johnston Tax Service for 3 years now and I will say, they get your taxes done. BUT if you need any sort of communication WHATSOEVER.. this is not the establishment. I would refrain from sharing your bank account details and they will charge your bank account without your consent. I will no longer be recommending this business to anyone.
After a disappointing experience with another CPA, I turned to Ann at Johnston's and had an incredible experience. Ann meticulously cleaned up my tax details from the previous year and efficiently prepared my current year's taxes with great accuracy. Her attention to detail and expertise are impressive. Highly recommend!
They are very friendly and have a lovely office. Allan was really helpful and personable. He took his time with me and answered all my questions. Even walked me through the process. Bonus: they have a lovely dog, who is super sweet.
You should listen to bad reviews. These people are incompetent. There is no excuse for not returning a call. There is no excuse for e filing a tax return without permission. Whatever the reason they have for being terrible, it is a fact that they are terrible. They nearly cost me a lot of money, all because i was unable to communicate with them soley because they cant return a phone call. Then I had to go through a lot to have my return amended because they efiled without permission.
