I’ve had two extremely poor experiences with the Johnson County Treasurer’s Office regarding motor vehicle registration this past year. While I understand there are rules to follow, the extreme rudeness I experienced—especially from Kathy Pierce—was completely uncalled for. As a taxpayer, I expect to be treated with dignity and respect, especially when dealing with something outside my area of expertise. Prompt service and nice polite counter person. No waiting line when I was there. Sign on window says that Fridays and the last day of the month are busy.
I’ve been here several times to register my vehicles. Yesterday afternoon & about a month ago I had poor service from one individual who seems to not know what he’s doing. I’ve encountered this guy before for the same issues and I wonder why he even works here. I bought a salvage vehicle in June and I went to register it after inspection and he quoted me the wrong amount for registering the vehicle. They are so worthless!
Very fine people work there. I never had any problems. While I was always using to phone to complete my needs, I always had people who talk to me honestly and never hesitated to stay with me until all transactions have completed.
