John Maverick is Magnificent! – John performed for our senior adult ministry for our “Fat Tuesday” luncheon. His performance was humorous, engaging, and full of wonder. He involved the audience in his act, and created a perfect atmosphere for his tricks. He is, as others have noted, a fabulous entertainer as well as a great magician. He may claim to be the second best magician in Austin, but our seniors think that he's the best, without a doubt.
John Maverick is my favorite! – Maverick is an expert at what he does. His shows are filled with energy and excitement that set him apart from all the other magicians. I've his shows numerous times and he never disappoints. His children's programs are AWESOME, and he has a fun personality that really draws in the audience. Highly recommended. I'd suggest reserving your show date early, I know his schedule fills up fast.
This guy is GOOD!! – I love magic! John Maverick is one of the very best local magicians I have seen, and I've seen most of them. Not only is his technique really smooth -- he continues to confound me -- he's also really funny. Don't hesitate to get this guy for your kid's birthday party, your business party entertainment, or your own cocktail party! I've done all of these, and have ever been disappointed. He's quite professional in his business dealings,too.
Kids Birthday Party Hit! – John traveled to Houston to be our magician for our daughter's 6th birthday. He came very highly recommended by some friends who had seen his show in Austin. He tailored his show beautifully to our audience. We had over 40 kids ages 2-9 and all sat in awe as he did his show. Even when we thought we had a trick figured out, he was able to surprise us. Buffoonery – The two most important aspects of a successful magic act are these: skill and charisma. John Maverick has both in abundance. He is absolutely hilarious, and even if he's doing a show aimed at children, adults will not be able to keep a straight face. I dare you to try.
Austin's Second Best Magician – One of my favorite performers in Austin--and I see at least twenty different acts ever summer. John has an engaging and interesting show that's entertaining for people of all ages--even friends that have seen his show more then twice each summer enjoy seeing his performances again. Definitely worth watching.
