I recently visited John Atkins Cycles for a bike service, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. The mechanic is called Jam, and the quality of his work is outstanding. My bike feels like it’s brand new again! He went through every aspect of the bike service meticulously but particularly, he resolved a persistent issue with my di2 groupset (which other mechanics had failed to achieve). I have been using this shop for many years to look after my bike, they always give good advice and the servicing they do is excellent.
Recently bought an emtb and the service in setting it up etc was great!
I bought a Brompton from this shop recently and couldn't be happier with the service I received from all staff members. They took the time to explain the various options and their associated pros/cons. To give me the colour option and accessories I wanted (silver/blue colour scheme, rear rack, dynamo lights), they took one of their off the shelf bikes and fitted the relevant Brompton parts in-house, charging me the difference in cost where appropriate. Would definitely come back for other purchases in future!
I didn't purchase anything but the service was still fantastic. Went out of their way to help me and give me advice, which was a pleasant surprise. I wouldn't look any further and pop down to John Atkins. See for yourself how good they are even if you just want to have a look around before making a purchase.
