I strongly recommend Joanne Smith as a hand therapist. She is welcoming, knowledgeable, and a clear and concise communicator. Since I had to travel a significant distance for my appointment, she booked sufficient time in her schedule to review my history, assess my hands, show me specific exercises to maintain function, and allow me to try a range of aids to support me as the osteoarthritis progresses. I'm a writer and need my fingers for typing! We worked for 10 months on a freak hand injury. Joanne fit my partner in promptly after he severed a tendon in his hand. She assessed the injury, splinted the hand, and then contacted a plastic surgeon. Long story short, my partner had surgery the following week. Joanne then provided excellent follow-up care. She was available along the way for questions. Can’t say enough positive things about her care! We were in good hands the whole way. (See what I did there?)

I always left Joanne's lovely place (it's a gorgeous setting) knowing my dislocated finger was in fine hands. Pleasant, professional, and kind of fun. Ask about the turtles!
