Very nice store, I was just stopped by.
I did a private session in Acadia National Park this summer, and it was wonderful. John took me right to the best locations for what I shared I wanted to work on, and provided just the right amount of coaching while letting me be creative on my own. I felt the tour was very time-efficient - we got to 6 locations within the park in four hours. I hired John for a four-hour late afternoon session and really enjoyed it. John is very adept at giving guidance with a light touch. I learned a lot and got some great images. Highly recommended.
I just completed my first workshop with John Putnam Photography, Icons of Acadia workshop. I watched many online videos regarding how to take photographs and how to configure your camera's settings, which left me very confused. But, John has a unique way of teaching you the tools you need to adjust your camera's settings while you are taking your shots so you walk away with the photo that you are trying to get. I was one of the participants in John’s “Icons of Acadia” workshop in 2023. Besides the expected (and awesome) classic shots, John took us to places with hidden beauty that I would have just passed by, and was great at that balance of guiding and helping me without just telling me what to do. Workshop also includes sessions with advice and help on processing your photos.
