I have been visiting this store for years, always a stop whenever I'm in town. Although the hats they make their own brand are beautiful I still believe them a bit overpriced. It would be nice to see a more fully stocked store including other brands like they used to carry. Didn't see many, if any, other brands than Stetson flat caps. Not much to look at under the 400 to 500 range.

I have been purchasing hats from JJ Hat Center since the 1980s - back when the store was on 7th Avenue. The Fifth Avenue store has an old school vibe, and I could always count on excellent service as well as knowledgeable staff. How the mighty have fallen! On my last visit, I found the stock and selection greatly reduced, and instead of the fedora or cap wearing salesmen, I found a trio of young women who were woefully deficient in their knowledge of their stock, let alone hats in general.
