Learned a lot of Elberton history. I definitely recommend taking the time to visit and learn.
This museum is a gem among gems. We got a tour with Jimmy White. What a great way to learn about African American history through a rich and storied local lens. This family-run museum is doing the important work of preservation and education. Visits are currently by appointment only through their website, but hopefully the museum will expand their hours and activities as we move through the pandemic. A must-visit!
I embrace and am grateful for the mission of the Jim-Ree African American Museum and look forward to learning more through our connection. Perhaps even more importantly, I appreciate and admire the passion and joy with which they pursue sharing that mission with all.
Interesting story behind the Museum location. Great place to learn about local history. Can't wait for the completion of the building rehab and opening of the historic county jail exhibit upstairs.
We enjoy participating in the Jim-Ree Museum Virtual 5K Race and Digital Health Fair from Louisiana. We hope to make it to Elberton next Juneteenth! We're proud to support minority health and community wellness at Therapeutic Muscle Sculpting and Massage! - TMSMassage.pro
