Stumbled upon this place with my mom, who is a HUGE bead collector, while wandering through downtown Montrose. Really lovely store, with a great selection of inventory. They have almost every kind of piece you might be looking for, as well as tons of hidden gems that you might not even know you need. While we were there, the owner was super warm and welcoming, asking us get-to-know-you questions, and making us feel right at home! We will absolutely be back!!
What a fantastic store! Art was so kind and accommodating! The square footage isn’t large but their inventory is full of all kinds of stones, beads, findings and the best selection of jewelry wrapping wire in Los Angeles! So happy I discovered this store. And they give classes! I’ll definitely be back for more and tell my friends where the best bead source is!

My husband and I recently drove from Texas to California to visit family. Although I'm a native Californian, I had never been to "Jewel City Beads" before. It was my hope to attend the Basic Beading Workshop with my sister for her birthday, but she couldn't make it. I decided to attend the class by myself, and I'm so happy that I did!
