If you are a foreigner & you want to use your Private Insurance to cover your Cataract Surgery, I totally advice you not to go to Jerry Tan Clinic or any Singapore clinic. Firstly, they are an absolute rip off. I have a family friend who has paid over $40,000 for her Pre & Post Cataract Surgery at Jerry Tan. In Australia, cataract surgery only cost $2,000-$3000 per eye. Henceforth, it is a total rip off!! Go see Dr Tan if you can afford to : 1. Wait for well over an hour to see a specialist for all of 5 mins, 2. Be put through a battery of different machines which will take another 30 mins and cost you a few hundred dollars for photos and eye pressure results when you come back each time, 3. Spend close to $1000 for your annual check up where the doctor barely spends 30 seconds looking at the results from Item 2 above. I have done Lasik @ Jerry Tan Eye Surgery for 1 year. Today I took a nap on a table, with my left eye press against my bicep while folding arms. I fell asleep around 4:20 p.m. and woke up around 4:50 p.m. with the same posture. When I woke up, I realized my left eye vision was blurred!!!
