I happened to be trolling on Yahoo leaving a comment (a good) one, for a restaurant. Then I got to thinking, I wonder if Sterling in Brookfield is on here. Well, last summer I left a review for Sterling on Google review and Im going to leave one here too. Sterling is without ANY doubt, the worst business Ive ever had to deal with!!!!!! I have been to alot of optical stores and this one was great. I was screwed at one of the major chains. I decided to come here and got an exam glasses and contacts. The doctor was very good and did a great job with my contacts. I got a year supply of contacts and a free pair of sun glasses. I also got frames at 1/2 off. There lenses were cheaper than others but not by much I think they made it up with 1/2 price frames. I would have to say they did a better than average job.
Great doctor. Picked up some nice specs at a great price.
They cant figure out how to bill insurance companies. I have been going back and forth for 3 months trying to get things paid.
They are rude and change there pricing from month to month. They also charge \$20.00 for trail pairs of contacts, you can purchase a box of contacts for that much. Then the Dr. wrote down the wrong base curve on my prescription and I am still trying to fix that so I can order my contacts from another source. DO NOT GO THERE!!!
I recently went to Sterling Optical in Brookfield Square to pick up my wifes contact lenses that she had already purchased but because it had been more than 60 days the owner pointed to a sign that addressed that policy and told me there was nothing he could do. When I tried to work something out with him even going so far as to offer to pay for another exam he became belligerent and even threatened to have me thrown out. Great doctor. Picked up some nice specs at a great price.
Doctor was good and polite, however the staff behind the counter is rude and disrespectful. If youre on MN Care, they make it painfully clear you are a third class citizen.
