Jen is amazing! I don't have a lot of experience in front of a camera and tend to feel awkward having my picture taken solo. She put me at ease immediately and helped pose me in ways that felt natural. The session flew by, it felt like hanging out with a friend. And the pictures.... stunning. I can not recommend Jen enough! She is a talent and a lovely human.
Working with Jen was an incredible experience. I cannot shout this loudly enough. Her confidence, ease and professionalism made me feel comfortable and confident myself. Her organization of having a hair and makeup professional available made it a special experience and she guided me through outfit choices, poses but most importantly, having fun. When I heard about the 40 over 40 Project, I was intrigued. I had seen Jen’s work and knew she was good and well respected in the community. I felt like I had known Jen before – so easy and calm, unrushed and thoughtful. I am so glad I stepped into this project trusting Jen and would do it again in a heartbeat!
I definitely stepped out of my comfort zone by taking part in Jen's 40/40 project (mostly because of the hair and make up part of the experience). But, in the end, I still looked like me and Jen helped me feel at ease throughout. From when we initially chatted about the project to her pre-experience info packet, to welcoming me into her studio and finally meeting up to choose photos, she laughed right alongside me and made the whole experience fun!
I had the most incredible experience working with Jen for her 40/40 photo shoot. From start to finish, everything was so professional, thoughtful, and seamless. The moment I arrived, I felt completely welcomed, at ease, and honestly like we had been friends for years. The entire experience was playful, fun, and most importantly, safe.
